Halo: Combat Evolved

This is by far one of the best games I have ever played for the Xbox. It has everything your looking for. Great music, graphics, multiplayer, and story. If you own a Xbox, by this game.

The story starts out with The Pillar of Autumn escaping from the Earth colony Reach. So the Covenant, a religious alien group, chases you down and starts attacking your ship. Master Chief, the person you control, is woken up to kill the Covenant bastards. Everyone at the time thought he was the last Spartan from the Spartan II project. Which if you read the books, he isn’t. So anyway the ship gets pwned, and it starts to crash on a giant ring fortress planet which they call Halo. I’m going to stop telling the story now so you can play it and see its complexity and greatness.



For graphics, this was one of the best graphic games on any console. There is detailed everything in this game. From floors to rocks, everything looks great. You sometimes just stop and look at the scenery sometimes. It’s nice to walk around and check out the places. Also if you look closely, you will see little secrets in the game. One that you might never realize is that there’s a picture of a hippo’s head on the shotgun shells.



The music is unbeatable. I can’t find many games that top the music quality from this game. It has its action music, slow music, and “Oh s*** here comes the flood” music. If you love the music like I do, then you will probably buy the soundtrack to this game. The sound effects are just as good. It is very realistic. If you have surround sound, you will get freaked out sometimes from hearing something in the background.

Multiplayer in this game is one of the golden moments in this game. People liked it so much that now there’s like hundreds of Halo tournaments. You have your CTF, slayer, oddball, and the pretty boring racing. If you have a couple of friends over, why don’t you kick their ass in this game?



If you own a Xbox, this is a must have. Over the years there has been a bunch of games claiming themselves as the “Halo Killer.” Usually they just plain out suck.
